Buick Grand National GNX. Had a buddy whose dad bought one, not the GNX though. I think the GNX were $80k back in the mid 80's.

This was one muscle car all the dad's wanted to own. Definitely not your grandma's Buick.

Yep. That 3.8 supercharged v6 blew the doors off every other factory car on the road , at the time.

I sure do remember those. Do you remember the Mustang SVO made at the same time 84-86? It was a turbo charge also my dad was selling cars at the time and had an SVO. Top end on both of these cars was awesome.

That little turbocharged 4 cylinder svo shamed a bunch of v8 camaro and mustang owners. When they first came out those v8 guys had no idea that the only time they were gonna see the front of those cars was when the were looking under the hood trying to figure out what had just happened.

Yeah I think pop was going thru his mid life crisis at the time. I can remember a few show me moments on the interstate. He would threaten to not take us hunting if we told mom,my little brother sitting in the back seat giving the arms down signal to every car we passed.Lol

I knew a gal that had a GN back then. She was as hot as the car was fast.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

I drove one once. Not real fast from a start, but when it hit second gear, it would push you back in the seat. Cool cars that handled like crap.

Take your kids hunting instead of hunting your kids.

I'd rather be LOST in the woods than FOUND in the city.

Drive a hybrid, I need your gas.

If I remember correctly, there was also a Hurst Oldsmobile around the same time.

One of my buddies had a suped up GN, he would put a 100$ bill on the dash and tell it was yours if you could grab it when he stomped the gas. I don't think he ever lost that 100$.

The 442. It was around from the late 60's to mid 80's with a few non production years.
