Its gonna be awesome. In the mornin I'm takin my Paw Paw huntin, he hasnt been able to go at all this year. I'd love to knock a buck down, but honestly if i get to drag a good deer out for him it would make my season. At 83, to still have the get up and go that he does it drives me to make the most of life and enjoy the time that i do have on this earth. He has always taken time to include me in what he was doin and is responsible for what good qualities i do have. He took me on my first hunt and its very humbling that ill have a chance to now take him. He's a blessing to me. If ya have someone like that in your life, man let em know it.

I feel you man, my grandfather is 90 and quit hunting last year because he just cant do it anymore. The most memorable hunts I've had was with him. Whether it was dragging my deer out or dragging his deer out. Cherish it, which it sounds like you do.

My grandfather raised me from a very early age. He literally had millions in retirement and investments. just as he started retirement, an unfortunate event put me in his path permanently along with my two brothers. What did he do? Carried his cross. He decided to forgo a long retirement of travel and vacation homes to become a father again. I learned more from that man than any one person will ever teach me. But the one thing i learned that will impact me and my kids and my eventual grand-kids is that no matter the situation, you must always take the time to enjoy family. He understood that the hearse that would carry him to his grave wouldnt have a trailer hitch to carry all his worldy possessions with him. Good for you that you are doing this. Make sure you take pics. Do your best to remember his wisdom and stories so that your kids will benefit from it one day.

I wish I had the chance to go back and hunt with my granddaddy, never got the chance to. Cherish it.

Headed out to look over a logging road in some thickness. Spot hasn't been hunted yet this year. Come on, biggun'!

Last hurrah here in new market for me. Up a stage oak on a bench high up the mountain next to the break where I missed my chance at a 10 point several weeks ago

Wind is strong and turkeys are a gobblin

Good luck and be safe

Good luck to yall! Hunting with my dad that I don't get to hunt with as much anymore.

Was walking through some pines to drop off into the bottom I killed my biggest buck 2 years ago and caught a pair of eyes staring at me at about 25 yards or so. I froze, it froze, did a little head bobbing then kept doing straight toward the bottom I was going. Then another deer crossed with its head down the whole time just a little ways behind the first deer. So I took a knee to wait for day break and about to start creeping in and hoping they're hanging close still. Think it was a doe with a buck in tow.

I hope so cause my morning has been chit. I got to woods on time but it took neatly 45 mins to get settled in my stand. I should have just sat in my lockons, but I wanted a clear lane since I have my bow today

Seen 2 does running wide open tails up. I'm down wind so not sure what they were running from. No buck or yotes behind. Strange.
