My 10 year old Coleman Extreme with cracked sides and ugly scratches... still keeps ice for days. I don't need "pretty", I need functional.

I guess I need to clarify a little better, we will be spending 8 day camping at Disney, after that it would be used on the weekend fishing trips, and or, for quartered hog(s) to transport back home during the summer days.

I would say go with the Y. Doekiller has one and I am impressed. I have a multitude of coolers and it does the job better than any I have dealt with. I like the way it is built and it seems durable enough to last for lots of years. I also have two of the travel mugs, the small ones that I use coffee riving in to work. They keep the coffee almost too hot to drink the entire drive, and they will keep ice water all day on my desk. Good stuff. I wish they would make a thermos bottle so I could carry coffee to the stand with me. My 50 year old Stanley still has a glass inside and works good, but I worry if I drop it from the stand.
It just depends on what it is worth to you. I don't mind spending a little extra on quality equipment that will last. For camping out in the summer in Orlando with kids I would go with the largest best cooler I could find. I might even consider taking a small refrigerator if the camp site had power.

I don't see the glass as half full or half empty. I just finish it and order another.

Buy you some Omaha Steaks and use the shipping cooler. they keep ice a long time.

Better yet - find someone that just bought them and get tell them you'll take the cooler off their hands.

Folks talking like the 110 quart yeti coolers are heavier than other brands of coolers crack me up. A 110 quarts equals 27.5 gallons. 27.5 gallons of water weighs right at 230 pounds. Granted there is air space between the cubes, and you probably wouldn't have the cooler completely full, but you could hit 200 lbs fairly easily. So lets just saya yeti is 40 lbs heavier than the other brands, which i doubt, it aint like you could tote one and not the other. Heck if a 110 quart cooler only weighed a pound empty, it would still be more than what i would want to lift by myself loaded full.

Personally i cant justify spending $450 on a cooler even though i would love to have one. I have owned several big igloos and Gott coolers over the years, and they sucked. You cant sit on them without the lid collapsing. The screws strip out on the hinges. The hinges break. The latches break. The drain plugs break. Plus the strap that keeps the lid from opening too far breaks about three days after you buy the cooler. Besides holding ice longer, the yeti and comparable knock offs are much better built than their competition

Look at canyon coolers also. I have three of them and they keep ice very well. Pelican coolers are also very good coolers. Walmart carries a 45qt for 199. It would probably be better to use two smaller coolers than one big one. That's my full 2¢.
