I've been through 4 different airports in the past month. The agents here in Tampa are the biggest arseholes. And it wasn't just one. Haven't had a problem anywhere else.

I agree, I got into it once with the agent checking boarding passes over my carry on bag, which has been on over 200 round trip flights as a carry on. She argued with me was too large. I finally had to speak with her supervisor.

Thought I was going to get a full cavity search at Tampa Air Port. Telling a TSA agent he is a schit head usually isn't a good idea. grin

Always ask for the supervisor if there's a problem.

Had a Big Ego Agent at LittleTinyAirport in Wyoming a couple of years ago want to know, tersely, why my dopp kit wasn't in an approved 1-gallon clear bag.

"Because it's not. Keep it all if you want. I've flown with this bag for 15 years and you're the first person ever to say anything about it."

Her reply: "Where you fly from, they must not care as much as I do."

$#@(*$# farking bitch. She was just trying to bait me to say something else.

Most are fine and are just doing their jobs. Some are dipshits. Just like anywhere.

My two best friends are Delta pilots, they even give them a ration of sheit. One of them bought some perfume to take to his wife recently, it was in a 1.7 oz bottle, they wouldn't let him fly with it because 1.5 oz is the rule. He told her what a dumm fuggin bitch she was and told her that maybe she didn't realize that if he wanted the plane to be brought down, he didn't need the 1.7 oz's of perfume to do it. grin

I'll vouch for that. I fly regularly out of Tampa and TSA is the most stressfull part of that trip every time.

Went with a school group to see them off out of Birmingham. Students had to send all their bags through the a certain x-ray machine. Four TSA-ears stood off to the side, 15+ feet away drinking coffee and talking while the bags went through. No one was watching the monitors. Could only hope the system had something that automatically recognized a hazard. The quota hires weren't watching and didn't care.

Yet they will separate a man and woman, clearly in their late 70s or early 80s, and her not understanding what's going on while agents are repeatedly telling the husband trying to soothe her fears over the retaining wall to step back ... and then pat her down while she's scared and doesn't have a clue why.

Yep. Saw that happen once in Missouri.

Or pull out a well-groomed guy in a suit with a briefcase, clearly traveling on business, for a pat-down and full inspection and residue swab of his case, while letting a disheveled guy with shoulder-length braids, grungy clothing and huge tattered backpack breeze on through without a second glance.

Yep. Saw that happen out west.

I compare them to the Barney cops at most warehouses I go in. Ain't none of em got since enough to wipe their own arse, but give em a little authority and Oh Hell, it's on.

I have bumped into several that were ok folks. I have seen others that weren't worth the shoes they were standing in. I haven't ever had a real problem so Im not to disgruntled. I did work with a gal whose husband was tsa in an alabama airport. He was the biggest vagina you will ever see, and I'm sure he thoroughly enjoyed the Itsy bit of authority he had. What a waste space this little superiority complex little man was.

That's fuggin bullsheit, how many business guys have you seen highjack a plane and fly it into a building? It's them smelly, towel wearin', goat fuggin, camel jockeys that I'm worried about. Leave granny alone, but triple check every one of them greasy fuggs.

So wearing a suit, and carrying a brief case makes you a business man? No.
Do a little research, there are terrorists of every race, surely you know that. You can't treat people different based on where they're from or what color they are.

Hardly. I'm far more open-minded than many bigoted and racist folks on this site and in America.

Anyone else who saw what I did that day would have said the same thing I did.

I got popped in the Oklahoma City Airport coming back from a hunt with shells in my backpack. Forgot to take them out. It did not go over very well with the TSA. I was short a brand new box of Nitros on the way home. I asked the TSA agent if I looked like a Muslim, and he didn't think it was funny.

Age to. People of all ages are used as mules by terrorists, just part of it. Can't treat ANYONE different. Your not dealing with morons. You might not have understood what was going on but patting down an elderly person is not a big deal.

You must be a TSA employee.

I watched one that almost made an old man strip naked and would not except that the man had a metal hip. He was a jerk and was sure the man was trying to sneak something on the plane.
