Walk, or "tipping" as dad taught me, usually from about 300 yards away. I challenge myself to be as quiet as possible. He taught me to assume they are already in the plot or field. I've tipped up to many a grazing deer already in the field!!

If you've never worn amplifiers give me a try. You'll be shocked to hear how loud we walk. Which is how they hear us.
