Been a wile since I've been on but I have a question for my fellow hunters. I've been look at getting a pair of binoculars that can be used in deer, turkey and fishing season. I have a small pair of 10x50 compact Tasco for still and stand hunting the woods. They are pretty worthless. I have an old pair of 7x50 that are pretty good for green fields but are way too bulky. What I want is a good pair of mid sized that are easy to carry and don't cost as much as a good rifle! Is that to much to ask?

I really don't want to go to a store and have them sell me something I don't need. I know y'all hunt the same kind of places I do. So what do you say? Thanks!

I just bought a pair of Redfield Rebel 8 X 42's and love them. I bought them at the link below for a lot less than you can buy them at any of the stores around here and shipping was free. I also bought the harness with them.

I'll second the above post. I bought a pair of the Redfields at Academy when they were on sale for $109. I bought them for a pair of binocs my kids could use when they went hunting with me. I like them better than my Nikon Monarch binos that cost 2 1/2 times as much.

I picked a pair of Nikon Prostaff 7S this year in 8X42. They are very clear, rugged and perfect for the type hunting I do. I paid $159 on sale (Which was a smoking deal)Been overly pleased with them.

I liked mine when they worked. Last year the right side wouldn't focus anymore after about 6 years of use.

I've had a pair of Nikons for about 14 years with no issues and I have a pair of Leupolds that are totally submersible in water. Both are good. Like most optics you get, the more you spend, the better the glass.
