Dermasil original. unscented and rubs in good so it doesnt leave you greasy. best of all, it works extremely well. Tchunter will be happy to know it works wonders on chapped nipples too. laugh

WOW. I'm feeling my man card is still intact. Thanks for the good advice. I use O'Keefe's Working Hands or Carmex Hand Cream on my fingers because they split open in cold weather. Gonna pick a few of the above lotions and give them a try!

On a serious note.I hate hate hate did I say hate the way lotion feels when you put it on.Most of it feels like you slathered grease on and it wont soak in.Gold bond doesnt do that.It absorbs and you wont even know its on until you get your skin wet and rehydrate it.I have been using it for a long time during the winter months but still quit using it as soon as I don't have to.

The wife use to sale Avon..they have a moisture therapy intensive healing and repair hand cream that works wonders...no smell and kind of stays on like a petroleum based product..several of the guys at work bought it and love it..I use it on my hands and elbows especially when its cold and they get dry and start to crack.

One thing that will help is to make yourself drink more water. Dry skin is often a hydration problem. Especially in colder weather, you are not naturally thirsty as much, yet if you are doing a lot of hunting you are still pretty active and your body tends to be less hydrated. Lotions and oils can help, too. Also don't take the really long, scalding hot showers, as they tend to dry you out as well.

When we lived in our old home my wife and I both got the itchy / dry skin in a bad way. Constant scratching that turned painful and was just plain miserable. Started up in October and didn't let up until May.

We started using medicated gold bond. Took a few days but it worked for both of us.

Now that we are in the new house we aren't experiencing it as bad. I saw her scratching yesterday and I started a few days ago. Gold bond to the rescue.. Stuff works.

I'm thinking it's the hard water in our old home that made things much worse.

Character is not developed in moments of temptation and trial. That is when it is intended to be used.

When I get winter skin I generally put extra virgin olive oil wherever I itch. Legs, arms etc.... Works wonders!!

I waited too long to go to a Dermatologist, scratched so much my shins are discolored and extremely thin skinned. Barely bump them and will bleed.

That's a FACT. I remember back when I had skin so oily as a teenager I looked like I had bathed in baby oil. I still remember the very first symptom that my skin wasn't young anymore.....

Sometime in my mid 30's I was at the office and tried to pick up a sheet of paper one day. I couldn't grab it. I had to lick my finger like I had seen many older people do 1000's of times in my life. That was the day the wheels started falling off..... That's when I started turning into an ashy white boy.

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14
