Cold weather kills my legs. Itch like crazy and as dry as can be. Scratching the heck out of them only help for a moment. About to drive me nuts...happens every winter. Can't stand most lotions my wife has...perfumed and just feels weird. Don't want any metrosexual fairy type gunk. Any manly solutions that actually work?? My legs are itching so bad, I'll risk the verbal or written abuse that is about to come my way.

I'll fess up. I use scent free intensive care lotion on my back some during the winter. The moisturizing soap just doesn't cut it. Wife puts it on for me so I get a back rub too. I'm man enough to get help when i'm miserable

I'm in the same boat. From my knees down get raw from scratching them every year. I've tried every kind of lotion, udder balm and the like.
What I have found that helps more than anything is a lotion called, "Gloves in a bottle." I put it on my legs after I get out of the shower. Now I wait til they start itching to use it but if I'd use it 3 times a week they wouldn't itch to start with. After using it after 3 showers I'm good to go for a week or two. It's by far the best thing I've found.
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

I use Eucerin for dry skin. Great lotion.

Nothing wrong with taking care of your skin and nails. Better than looking like a sheaf of sandpaper with tree bark for nails. The wife will appreciate it, too.

If you wear some sort of moisture wicking base layer undies day after day that will do it.

hot water in the winter makes it worse too. Use baby oil before and after you get in the shower and you shouldn't have a prob. Mine use to sting like fire ants were on my legs after a hot shower.

It's all good as long as a hot oriental woman puts it on for you!

Dove soap and ceraVe lotion. This is what my dermatologist prescribed for me.

Change the brand/type of soap that you're using. Some soaps just sap the moisture right out of your skin. You may need a moisturizing soap.
And, the older you get the worse dry skin issues become.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Do you have a hot tub / spa? Mine makes my legs do that bad ... I have to take a shower after I get out and use a mild soap to get the chems off me or I'll get a bad case of the itchies
I don't want to pass quietly into the night. I want to slide in sideways kickin and screamin Life really is awesome ... Soak it up while you can ...
