After living in Michigan, Alaska, and Oregon, I have to deal with dry skin at least once a year from the cold. I jump in the bath tub, get wet, and then squirt my wife's baby oil in the water... I'm locking in the moisture and waterproof after that. Works well. Just remember to tell everyone what you did if you don't clean the tub afterwards, gets kinda slippery

Be sure to drink more water, too. We as a society don't drink enough water.

Have you ever been around a group of European tourists? Did you notice any distinct aromas? They don't bathe regularly. Give it a try this week and let us know how it works.

I have the same problem. I use dove moisturizing soap and the Vaseline intensive care lotion. Only way it doesn't drive me nuts.

My wife had the same exact problem. Drove her nuts for while. She went to the dermatologist. She was told to use bar soap only (dove) without a washcloth, just the bar. Pat yourself dry after the shower, dont rub. Apply lotion right after you get out of the shower (while your skin is still slightly moist).

CeraVe came recommended highly to her by the dermatologist. Its is expensive but that procedure has solved her problems. She used to fight with it EVERY night once the weather cooled off.

Your issue may be different than hers though. Have you been to the dermatologist?

Same thing to do with sunblock in summer.

My wife orders Retinol cream in a small tub from somewhere and it is the best thing I have ever used for dry skin. My hands stay dried out and cracked in the winter from cleaners, thinners, and other chemicals from dipping. I can lather them down at night with the cream and they're like new the next morning.

Try vagisil.

Some great advice so far. Remember do not take real hot showers and I read that if you exfoliate the skin and use something like Dove it helps a lot. The article indicated that you are removing the dead skin cells and exposing the good ones which allows for better absorption of moisturizers.

I use curel fragrance free for dry skin and my face after I shave. Also lever 2000 is a good soap that helps with the dryness.

My daddy swore by corn huskers lotion back in the day. I don't think they still make it though.

Get the vaseline mens lotion.

I take scalding hot showers, and I have to use Dove soap or my skin all over my body looks like a broken saltine cracker. I may be the only white boy that gets ashy.

I've been fighting this all my adult life.

Gloves in a bottle..... It's not greasy, but you can hardly wash it off the day after you put it on.
