And don't think you have found "THE" bedding area. Them deer will bed dang near anywhere. You may have found an area where some bed, but I wouldn't set up just on the 2 you found.

Buddy of mine in Georgia shot the buck of a lifetime last year during the rut.Word got around it was hanging up in the cooler at the processor pretty quick. Come to find out a few guys had been hunting it for a couple of years. My buddy shot it 3 miles as the crow flies from where they had tons of pics of it on their property. I guess my point is that all bets are off when the rut is on.

No 2 bucks are the same and may have completely different personalities, some will roam far, some will stay close to their home range. There have been studies done on this. If you really want to know, read the deer studies, instead of asking peoples opinions, because opinions will vary greatly.

^^^ I Agree. Had a guy tell me once that a bucks droppings will be scattered out on the ground because he want stop to handle his business while a dies droppings will be in a pile be they will stop to handle there's. I wanted to call him out on it but he was my boss with an ego so it was in my best interest to not laugh in his face.

If your decoy doesnt have holes in it, your not letting him get close enough... J.H.
