This. What benefit does the state provide to warrant giving them more money?

I have a hard time giving away money for something you can get away with 8 times out of 10.

I'm just for doing away with it like most states have done. If I wanna feed my deer I should be able to.

Are we the only people that DON'T get any benefit from putting out corn? We've got a lot of corn out (legally) with cameras at each spot but have seen no noticeable increase in numbers.

There are 3 certainties in an uncertain world:

1. All Politicians Are Liars
2. All Gun Laws Are an Infringement
3. Taxation Is Theft

It's all about understanding how the money is allocated. It would be a lot to explain but it boils down to it isn't worth the trouble.

Federal match dollars and all sorts of things come into play.

Well, that is part of it anyway...

You don't read well do you??? What other reason would there be legally?

If you're bitchin about how it's legal to do it in MS and GA, take your odds and do it in AL. If you add it all up, you'd spend the amount of the AL fine in travel expenses.

I don't care what they raise to. It's money in the DCNR pocket, to hire more wardens, and I am not buying a stamp anyway.. I swear, hunters will be their own worst enemy in the end..

A warden I have talked to about this is against it as he sees it as a way to make it harder on regular folks and give the advantage to the rich man. He said he would consider all baiting legal then and not ticket someone just because they didn't have the money of someone else. Problem is all GWs won't see it this way.

BTW this is not the same warden referenced in the other baiting debate thread.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

I wish he thought that same about landowners, like me. I pay the state taxes every year on my own property. I own it, but can't put out corn... Now I am not supporting corn, because I don't feel like you can kill a grown deer over it.. BUT it's still my land.. smile

And I know people that does support it...

I don't bait for deer to hunt over and probably wouldn't even if it was legal. We do have one feeder out over a few hundred acres with a camera on it. It is legal according to the law and regulations and per our local warden. If you do feed I would highly advise to make sure there is no gray area for interpretation by others.

But there has to be a better way for this. I'm not sure what it is but just has to be someway to please law abiding hunters and DCNR. Outlaws will always be outlaws and they could be hunting next to you and me. They need to be dealt with.

Never give any government more money. All you ever get is less freedom and more regulation.

Apparently we're in the minority around here with that type of thinking
