Killed 3 out of 4 once, with a rifle...they just wouldn't leave! Trapped 14 or 15 in about 4 months behind my old house when I started hearing them...if there were any left in that pack, they went elsewhere.

I've never seen more than 1 while hunting but I have seen several times where other coyotes have circled and paced around coyotes that I had trapped. That's why I rarely make single sets anymore.

Killed a bunch but have never seen more than one at a time. Killed one and 20mins later I got down to go get him. Gun on shoulder taking a pic and another one came walking out of the woods 10yds from me. He saw me at the same time I saw him. Game over. We hear them in packs all the time. Day or night. Heard a pack at 11am a couple weeks ago.
If your decoy doesnt have holes in it, your not letting him get close enough... J.H.

Just had pack of 5 work out into the cutover I'm hunting. I think I got 2, not sure on the second one. That's the largest pack I've ever seen. What's the most you guys have ever seen in one pack? When we used to hunt down there beside you, Whittson used to have cows in his pasture. One bow season he a ton of calves drop and yotes were every where. I can remember seeing 5-6 in packs and one was solid black. Only got one of them with a bow. Do they still holler around 5:00 pm when the train whistle blows?

Most I've ever seen together in Alabama is two. They chased a dog down a creek I was watching one afternoon and as the yotes went by I killed the one in the lead. The other one ran down the creek and stopped to look back and caught a 7mm bullet in his left nostril.
That little dog circled around and came back and laid down beside me and she and I watched that creek together for the rest of the afternoon. Pretty little dog that I wound up giving to a local down there.

I saw a group of about 10 chasing 2 does in Bankhead one morning. I was on the ground and they all came within 20 yards.
It was a mixture of pups and grown ones.
Do you want to hear him gobble, or do you want to kill him.

It was a mixture of pups and grown ones. I bet there was that many in that pack that got after us in Nebraska a few years back. It gets hairy when you are sitting under a tree full of gobblers waiting on daylight and all of a sudden yotes go to barking and howling within 15-20 yards all around you. It was so dark we couldn't see our hands in front of our face. Fun times.
