Have had deer run to, run away, and not pay attention to at all. Guess it's just like grunts, horns, and the can. Catch em in right mood and can be dynamite. Or high tail it outta there. I have had more come to scent, than run away. That I saw, atleast.

I've had it work better out of state. Same with rattling antlers.

I believe ! My best two deer were killed over scent canister containing doe in heat. Use to only use Tinks, but have switched to Code Blue. Have seen does turn and go the opposite direction.

Im a believer in the buck bomb too...I spray a healthy dose a drag and carry it behind me to the tree. Many many times I have had bucks come in with their nose to the ground on the exact trail I walked in on.

I do a drag to the tree during rut. I had a small buck follow me in two weeks ago. I saw climbing the ladder when he was 40' from me. To dark to even see what size he was. I was 18' up with my gun on the rope. Made for a good hunt.

I haven't had any luck with doe-in-heat. I will say that Ever Calm works at least on does. I killed 4 does during bow season and out of the 4, two of them was doing their best to find the other deer. The last one that I killed, I had took the cap off of the container and just set it in the grass. She looked like a dog that was trying to wind a downed bird. I stuck her about 10 ft. away from the stick. Tried that same thing a few weeks ago gun hunting and had a spike walk up and knock it over with his nose and then slowly feed off.

Yes it Works! Try Buck Wicked Hot Stuff. Try it as a drip in mock scrapes. We have had a lot of luck with it. It is only collected fro about two weeks a year, so it is fresh.

I've had bucks walk right up to a product called " Hyper Heat " which is sold at Walter Craig in Montgomery. I won't waste my money on anything else. Just don't set it out before daylight. I made that mistake once and had a really nice buck go to the scent pad about thirty minutes before legal shooting hours.

How do you put the stuff out without getting it all over your hands? I put it on a rag and tie a 6'string on it and let it drag in with me. Hang it on a tree and drag it back out. The smell dissipates over a few hours.

I just bought some Tinks 69 spray in a can and bought the pads to hang from tree limbs. I don't want to leave them hanging after the hunt so I guess I'll try to get them back in a baggie without touching the lower part. I just stick me a pair or two of rubber gloves in my pocket and use them when I put it out and take it down.
