Just checked mine. I'm at 19.32%. Mine has been kicking arse. In 2006, i had $45,000 in mine. I borrowed $15,000 to buy my property. That left me with $30,000 in mine. My balance is over $157,000 now. If i can duplicate that over the next 8 years, this guy may retire early. I'm in the most aggressive funds that American Funds has to offer. Fully diversified.

Last quarter statement I was at 6% but had one fund really dragging me down. Changed that on so I should see better results next quarter. Last year I went 27.66% and I am mildly aggressive.
best time to stay in the market is when it is down. You can pick up alot more shares when price is down and it'll make a great showing when the market picks up. This is how I overcame a 60% loss in 2008-2009.

I'm really proud of my portfolio, and very fortunate. I only lost about $3000.00 in 08-09. When the USA stocks are down, usually the European stocks are up and vice versa, so it's good to be diversified.

Rate of Return for the period beginning January 1, 2014 and ending December 22, 2014 is 34.48% I've been aggressive growth from the beginning. Whether the markets down or up.

Ok, I guess mine just really sucks. I am heavily aggressive but have also dumped stuff here, bought here, etc. that probably hurt me. I we t full into one of the aggressive "managed" group of funds and am gonna leave it alone and see what happens. Currently, ytd is 2.48%.
sure wish I could find some of these magical 20% investments that you guys have Here is my current favorite. I've been heavy in this fund the last 6 months. http://www.viewjhfunds.com/usa/C06/hlsa/index.html

When I was 20something I had most of mine in very aggressive investments. I lost my butt and the pants on it in 99.

Just remember the higher the returns, the more risk usually. Markets don't always go up. If you have the time to watch it you can usually hedge your accounts or transfer them to bond funds before the market downslide.....but you have to watch it close.... You better be watching close this coming year - interest rates are liable to start creeping up and when they do this market bubble is gonna bust.

YTD 5.56% We use Mass Mutual and I am at a "Moderately Aggressive" investment strategy... allegedly.
