I have at leas another dozen letters left to re-type. Each letter is quite different than the others and it will be somewhat sad when the last one is completed and there won't be more treasures to find. That said, I thought I was already done but found 20+ more at my uncle's place.

I'm going to go a couple things with them. The first will be some type of "interactive" PDF. I'll have hotlinks so that if a place is mentioned in the letter, you'll be able to tap the location and it will pull up a map of the general location. I can do that with other things like ships, types of tanks, etc. that are mentioned.

I also want to do a hard copy book. There are a tone of photos too, but they need a bit of work touching up in Photoshop.

Thanks for allowing us to read some of your family's memories.

With all that layering of clothing, I can't imagine the weight on the body, or lack of movement it would cause, particularly in a close combat situation.
