On a hardwood ridge behind planted pines. Nothing but squirrels and woodpeckers so far.

No service while I was at Cahaba today. Nothing all morning. Got down at 11:00 and decided to do a big circle in the clear cut above for the heck of it taking my time before leaving. When I came back down the hill to the jeep, I watch a buck trot down the road 15 yards from where my damn stand was still hanging on the tree stopped him with a grunt at 100 yards, had it been a gun hunt today he would have been dropped. After seeing him at 12:30 I figured I should make it an all day hunt. Climb back in the stand and get my safety harness situated and hear some crashing to my right and a doe is standing in the road soaking wet and with drool hanging out of her mouth, she got a pass because my bow was still on the ground attached to my rope  didn't see anything from 12:35 on except for some 4wheelers and an armadillo
