I havent seen any deer since gun season opened. I hunt Jackson Co. I seen deer like crazy during bow season. Ive asked around and since gun season everyone i have talk to said there not seeing anything either. Ive seen signs. Tracks in and around my plots. I know there still here but best i can come up with is they are moving at night. So any help would be much appreciated.
Maybe something will change and i will start seeing them soon. Till then ill be sitting here waiting for there mistake.

I'm in Morgan county and ours is the same way. Nothing while hunting and very little on camera. Slow as I've seen in some time. I've seen a total of 6 deer while in my stand all year.

Jackson Co. also. It has been very slow so far. Had a bachelor group moving early Tuesday morning. Still a lot of acorns on the ground.

Ours has been food related in Jackson County. Too much food and no reason to move with warm temperatures. We need cold temps., acorns to rot, and breeding to start.

I approve this message.

Breeding is right around the corner in Jackson Co. if you're not "on them", do some mid-day scouting and find them. If it's not working , make a move, hunt differeent times. Don't miss the best time of season on a plot or cold buck sign.

I've hunted on and off the plots. I've got enough locations as not to pressure and hunt the right wind. My plots are mowed down and my feeder cam which was up for less than a week and now pulled has good activity mostly night but some day. The feeder situation is the new factor in the formula. Does it change feeding routs? I'm about ready to stop feeding but they will just go to some one elses
corn.
Night hunter is right, but on my property I saw more deer prior to the new feeding rules. Go figure.

I'm about done hunting plots. Here has how my hunting season has gone:

hunt a plot? Won't see a deer, saw 2 opening day and that's it.

hunt the edges where I believe deer to be traveling? Seen 10 deer in total.

Pretty clear what we need to be doing, they don't need our greenfields at all this year, at least not yet. They hit them at night if they want grass.

North Morgan County here, I've seen exactly three deer. That's with me being retired and going out three days out of four since bow season started. Got two of them. Been all over Wheeler at Talucah/Cotaco Creek and Union Grove area.

Yep. I said last year I wasn't going to hunt in December and here I am hunting and not seeing much. It'll pick up in January. I have seen more turkeys on our property than I've ever seen.

December in bama. They just don't have to move much to feed.
