Thomas Jefferson. The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Life is too short to only hunt and fish on weekends!

If being a dumbass was fatal some of you would be on your death bed!

I have friends who cut them out and use the tarsal glands. They claim to have had success using them. I've been wanting to try it but I never think to cut them out.
I hope someone on here with experience using these will chime in with some advice.

Inter-digital gland, between the toes. Basically deer toe jam, I harvest it from every deer I take. Deer get a great deal of info from it, what was there and when. It calms them and works as a cover scent. Take your knife and split between the toes, it looks kinda like wet corn meal, there's not much of it and it doesn't smell strong. Put it in a ziplock keep it cold, if it starts to smell sour I don't use it.

Gig, have you ever notice that deer stomp the ground, when on high alert. Thats what they are doing, depositing scent on the ground for other deer to know to be on alert, so that scent isn't always going to calm a deer down.

Well that's a good point, do they put out an alert scent? Ive posted this before but I'll keep it short because I'm headed to the woods.
Last season I used it while I was sitting on the ground and a cow horn came about 10 yds from me looked right at me and walked off. Who knows?
Im clear.
