I shot a doe yesterday at 5 and knocked her down on a firebreak, climbed down and walked to where she went down and she wasn't there, no blood, bone, hair nothing. looked for 2 hours but no luck, think with low light I may have hit a little forward and didn't get an exit hole for a blood trail. tough luck, I'll be back at it sunday.
There is 2 different high fence. 1 small and one big! Mine was free range in the big pen and was not a breeder buck. Why does it have to be twisted around??

Fella's, hate to have to report that I missed a good 8 point on Fort Knox yesterday morning. 60 yard shot with a slug gun - not sure why I missed, but it was probably operator error. I'll be headed to the range later this week to verify. Sometimes slugs do funny things. Tag soup for me...

Went to the doctor for my 6 week evaluation. Everything in my back is aligned correctly and healing nicely. He said in 6 more weeks I should be 100% healed as far as fractures are concerned. The important part was I am cleared to hunt and shoot a gun so I dont remember anything he said after that. Great news bro! Sure am glad to hear you got a good report. Now go kill you a good 'un!
