Matt, if you would have let it ride from the start this would have died in a day or two and nobody would have known any worse. It's a great deer and there is no reason it shouldn't have its pic on the forum. No it should not have the location it was killed or who killed it if they didn't want that info posted. But a generic pic of that deer does no harm. i understand fully not wanting the details out to the public and I'm sure the original poster felt the same way and that's why he listed a false location is my guess.
I looked at the pic the first day and said, " damn, Hamilton just put off a dang good deer" and went about my day. After 17 pages of back and forth "now" I'd like to know where it really came from.
To the lady that shot it, congrats and I hope you kill another one that's even bigger and doesn't come with half the headache. I hope you will enjoy it enough to share it with others, if not I understand that as well.
And yes the ol duck hole/ fishing hole gar hole is always the best route.

Ben2, they said beagles but the truth is it was a Boykin. Word has it they are so smart they train them to only run deer scoring over 150. Now you know why they are so expensive

Congrats to the shooter but my god did you over react to the situation. Yeah I'm sure somebody put hard work and money in to the property where the deer was taken but you need to simmer down a little. If all this attention would not have been drawn to the deer by YOU, then this post would have faded like all others that only go a couple pages. Also, if I would have posted the original pic and somebody came on here running off at the mouth in the manner that you did, I would have posted that deer on every deer hunting site I can think of. Hell I would have made that deer it's own Facebook page. The only way that pic would have come down was by a moderator unless you were very polite in a private message. And I hope you didn't talk to your family member that "leaked" these photos the way you tried talking to people on here. Remember, you get more flies with honey than you do with vinegar. Now have your doctor up your medication and go get you another buck.

Damn right Joe..That deer woulda been posted on ebay,amazon,beezid,quibids,target,old navy,levi,armslist and about 100 other sites if i woulda been the OP and got talked to like that.

I killed a big deer long time ago and the biggest thing i did wrong was show it to someone.

No kidding...talk about making yourself miserable when you should be ecstatic. There's only about 200k pictures of deer kills posted on the interweb every year.
