We have wrapped them in bacon and cooked them on the BGE shish-kabob style. Used mushrooms, onions, pineapple, cherries, etc.

Put a pot of grease on the egg rack, cook direct until grease hits 350, bread quail and drop them in the grease.

Sorry, but there's only one way to cook a quail.
