I still have my Coleco football game. Last time I put batteries in it it still worked. Still have the space invaders game that is about the same size and it still works. I also have several of the GI Joe figures including the submarine.

Those were the good old days

I found out the hard way why my brother was a lineman playing football and not a receiver when I told him to go out for a pass and threw a lawn dart to him. He caught it with his head. Got my butt tore up twice...first time for throwing it to him and 2nd time for telling my mom it wasn't my fault he couldnt catch

I think the lawn darts were my favorite. I sharpened mine on a grinder. Not only that, I also used to see how high straight up I could throw them. I guess not everyone here tried that. When there was no other kids around I could find ways to entertain myself. crazy

But how many of us held the "speaker hole" of the machine guns next to our ears then pulled the trigger? wink

No bottle water. Drank from the hose. Ate dirt. Peed outside. I operated a fleet of Tonka trucks under a shade tree in our yard. Ain't no telling how many yards of the same dirt I hauled around. I was outside playing by 7am and was told by my momma not to even think about coming back in the house until late that afternoon. She would bring me a sammich at lunch and me and ole shep my sooner dog would take turns taking a bite. Also, we didn't have AC until I was in my late teens.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

My Mom's Mercury - "The Tank" (Not sure why I'm standing on the hood, but whatever.) I used to ride laying down across the back dash. One night there was a bull standing in the middle of the road...she slammed on the brakes & I rolled off into the floor. It.Was.Awesome.

Our house was on a crawl space. We would crawl up under it during the summer and rest because it was always about ten to fifteen degrees cooler than a shade tree.
