I'm setting up about 40 yards downhill of this spot. This is a special area as the landowner claims it hasn't been deer hunted for over 10 years. Landowner also claims that they rarely ever even go there. I've been wanting to scout it but I didn't want to disturb the area with my scent so I waited until the other day when it was raining and went and carefully scouted it. Check out that small 3" diameter tree in the middle, stripped of bark ... Looked so fresh it might have been done within a few hours of me scouting.

Anyway, this looks to be my very best bet on getting my first Buck. Even ifi get skunked, what a beautiful spot to spend my morning in.

Good luck everyone and stay safe!!

Me and a buddy are headed out now. We are going to give Black Warrior Zone A a try today and see if we can get one those giants running around there. I wouldn't pass up a hog either. They are still chasing there so maybe we will get lucky. Good luck to everyone that goes today and be safe.

Just getting here and it's a nice 26 and calm. Watching the edge of a pine thicket that leads into hardwoods. Good luck to all and be safe.

I'm sitting on the ground watching where a little holler comes up the edge of a big ol nasty thicket. Should be some deer come traveling up thru here when the sun starts hitting it good.

Sitting in a bottom I turned into a greenfield. Looking north. Wing is from NE by east. Thick pines to the right and hardwoods to the left. 5th row thinners 500 yards north. Beautiful morning.

Ha Brent! I'm sitting on the ground back against a tree by a little holler where it comes to the edge of a big nasty thicket hoping the same. Good luck !

Perched up here in Dallas Cty with the stick and string.

I know y'all ain't going to believe me but I just had 6 or 7 rack bucks chase a doe by me. Freaking bucks where going every where. I've had the same thing happen to me on this property a few years ago but I had the 7 mag in hand then. One did not fair so well that day.

I'm on the top edge of a swamp bottom, hoping the buck that ripped these trees up and made all these scrapes shows up. Good luck everybody.
