BBB, just so you know you and I now share the same hunting job. Guide. You'll get use to not pulling the trigger, like you said you'll get just as shook up as you use to when the kids pull the trigger.

Congrats to BBB jr.

He was sound asleep, wrapped up in a sleeping bag, when the first one came out. I got him awake and the second deer popped out. He finally got the sleepy out of his eyes where he could shoot. I had to get him up in my lap so the rifle could rest on the rail of the shooting house. The wind was blowing hard from us directly to the deer. They were doing the whole lick nose, sniff wind, stomp and stare routine. They were really spooky and i just knew we were about to get the white flag.

One made its way out in front of us while the other stayed at the edge of the woods. They both started back to the woods in that fast, cautious walk and i told him we got to make a move now. I slid the window open and rested the rifle on the window seal. I told him get to get on her now! Now! Boom!

She spun, ran, and flopped. I've never seen a kid so calm when it all goes down. I felt like the new world record had just hit the ground and all he wanted was a bite of his biscuit. laugh

I know the feeling. When my daughter shot the 9 point on the Friday of the youth hunt I was shaking like a leaf in a tornado. She was as cool as a cucumber.
