To not get all worked up like you use to over hunting? Don't get me wrong, I still love it and hope I always will. But this season I just ain't dedicated. If my wife or kids are going I'm all worked up like a kid at Christmas, but when its just me I ain't. I guess my question is do any of y'all get like this?

No big deal there. Not being in a club this time has got me like that. I hate hunting by myself. Since our farms are mostly bow hunt only my buddy just don't go

Yes, its been like that the last few years for me, while still/stalk hunting. But I have never got tired of dog hunting, deer, rabbit, squirrel.. Anything with a dog, but I love to put other people and kids on deer and rabbits, so always got something to look for.

I still look forward to it, but really enjoy all the deer farming as much or more than the actual hunting. It does feel good to finally get to sit in a stand and see your hard work paying off though.

Now I do get excited about getting to travel to new ground to hunt. Just something about time off from work, a good road trip and some good hunting that gets me fired up.

I'd rather watch my kids or wife hunt now. I ain't figured out if its cause I'm getting older and lazy, or cause I've killed a good many or what. I'm hoping I've just finally graduated to helping others if that makes sense.

I know what you mean. If I'm planning on going hunting in the mornings and my God son or best friend and his eight year old boy that calls me uncle Leroy don't go, I usually talk myself out of it. I still go at times by myself but it just ain't the same without them.

I'm like that. Just don't get pumped if my boys can't go with me.

Since my son moved to Lee County I have no partner to hunt with. I have a great friend that I hunt with, but he is not my son. It just isn't hunting without my "little man" with me. It makes my entire year when we get to go together. There is not a better hunter in Al than him. I brought him up learning from the best hunters.

No not yet, I was just thinking about that today. I am by no way a seasoned hunter, I caught myself gritting my teeth, and hands were sweating, sitting on the edge of my seat on a 18' tripod. When it gets 30 min. before dark I get myself all worked up. I don't care If I am by myself or with my teenage son. We have 700 ac. just about to our self. I do enjoy being with family hunting,but want think twice to go alone, but I am at home in 15 min.

I didn't even go to the camp until mid-December last year, and I've yet to bring in the season this year. Haven't bowhunted in 4 or 5 years. Just don't burn for it as much as I used to. I love to take my son when he wants to go, but he's just not to the point where he's dying to go all the time yet.

I'm that way now it has lost the luster it use to have. I had more fun hunting with friends but I don't get to anymore. I like putting my wife and son on deer but I'd rather take the dogs and squirrel hunt but I make myself deer hunt.

Deer hunting yes... Turkey hunting NO.

Same here, but I'm gonna get to take my little girl some this year so that'll make it better. I still get exited when I see a good one but back in my younger days every deer got me excited

I'm hunting, but until the leaves are gone (since our place is so thick), I really don't have any confidence seeing much, now.
Later, a different story. (Especially February)

I just don't enjoy it like I use to. I don't know if I'm just getting old or what. If my grandson ever quits I probably will. Plus it cost too dang much now.

I took it for granted Growing up in Alabama (33yrs). I knew I loved it but didn't know how much till I moved down here in the Hunting Void State.
It really causes me a lot of stress not being able to hunt whenever I want.

I've about given up on it. I'll take my dog and squirrel hunt or just give up on hunting all together. Just doesn't do much for me anymore
