What are the rules on hunting on lakes and rivers? Are you able to just hunt anywhere?

Best thing for you would be getting the hunting regs/waterfowl regs and reading through it. That will let you know the basics and pick up on any trivial laws. I haven't hunted Bama in a while but, I do know I would not follow everything people tell you on the internet...

Rule number one about hunting public land ducks in Alabama or any surrounding state is don't ask about where to hunt public land ducks on an internet forum.

Really????? You're gonna lead this guy down the quick path to coming back to the boat ramp and realizing he needs a new set of tires.

No not really, you can't see the grin??? But to think people do not do this, you're mistaken. Messing with peoples tires is also a good way to get shot or arrested...

That, and it's always cool to see the photos from the blind with a reply stating " I know where that's at, that's blah, blah, blah, "

I know you were kidding, he may not have. I didn't mean I would cut anyone's tires but I have heard of it happening. 3 things that make grown men go insane are women, ducks, and big buck deer.
