Wow! 137. That's going to be blast for the kids and for a GREAT cause. This is something most of them will probably remember for a long time and hopefully receive a gift much bigger than hunting.

Good Luck and Great Job!

Let the Rage eat again. Let a 3 point walk this morning and smoked this Doe at 25 yards. She ran 45-50 yards and heard her pile up.

Headhunter laying the smack down on them! I hear ya, man!! thumbup

Whew.... What a weekend! Wound up with 114 kids out for the youth hunt weekend. We had to call it short on Sunday afternoon due to the rain, but it was an amazing weekend. Several first time kills, few first bucks, few misses, a yote, and a good bit of deer seen by kids. Had some lives changed, families strengthened, and many new relationships built. Got to meet some great aldeer brothers as well.

I'm still wore out...HA! grin Hope to be out in the woods tomorrow afternoon, Thursday, and Friday. Good luck guys and be safe out there!

I'm taking my son for the 1st time Saturday, Going to build a ground blind tomorrow he asks me all the time "daddy you going to shoot the buck deer". After reading the youth thread I'm pumped up. He is a little young for a gun, but just getting him introduced to the woods for the 1st time is exciting. I hope he loves it as he gets older. I'm gonna make it fun he'll have a few toys to play with, and we're gonna do what he wants to. I don't have unrealistic expectations of him being quiet or still for hours. I want him to have fun. If we see deer then its icing on the cake.

I'll be in my cutover climber in the morning. A nice 8 point walked past the camera around 9:30 the other day, so I'll be looking for him in the morning! Good luck to all.

Got a nice 8 pt Saturday. Not the biggest rack, but a big, heavy 5 yr old deer. Didn't have scales, but he was noticeably bigger than 180 to 190 lb deer that I have put on scales.
Pics on camera and will post in a few days when I get a chance.

Way to go Srubbuck.
Well I was lucky enough to get a shot this evening in the hurricane force winds on this young 162lb 8pt. Not near as big as I thought but, all I could get was glimpses as he walked thru the pines and waited till he stepped out in a opening and fired.

Here's a couple pics of the one I got. Should have had a lot bigger rack for his age.

Congrats on the bucks!! thumbup

That's a freaking TOAD, scrubbuck!! Trophy right there. beers

Hope to get off everyone's backs before long and get some points. laugh Ready to lay one down!!!

Didn't think I was going to be able to go Saturday due to a wrestling tourn, but my son tweaked his MCL in a match and couldn't participate. So, I got the thumbs up to go hunting Saturday. The one draw that I couldn't see down in is where a buck I'm after traveled. I made sure to step on all the tracks on the way into my stand while walking down the road. When I walked back to the truck this is what I find... slap

Hopefully these night shifts will pass quickly...

Killed a good one this morning guys. Crazy as it sounds he came out chasing a doe. Neck was all swole up and stunk to no end. That's in Escambia county. Still on the fence about mounting him. We rough scored him to 121. Not that I would mount him for that being I got a 130 on the wall but, more for the mass and eye guards. What yall think?
