Ace hardware or Lowes should have it. I would think

Hardware stores sell those "crimping thingies".

Have you tried Google?

Yes you can get cable. Check TSC also for cable. You should also be able to use some cable clamps besides using the crimp on type. They have a U bolt in the and tighten down with a wrench.

Make sure you get 7x19 cable. It's a whole lot more flexible and stronger per size than standard run of the mill hardware store cable. A crimping tool would cost more than a new come-a-long, just use 2 cable clamps to hold the hook on.

I'll check at TSC since that's where I bought it. I was in the one in Dothan last week and the young female clerk had no idea what I was talking about so that's why I took a picture of it besides asking y'all. Also, is it normal for nylon rope to be twisted in with the cable or is that some made in China crap.

I've seen some cables with a strand or two of nylon in them. Not sure what that's for. Don't you live in or around Montgomery? I doubt you find the good cable unless you go to a poultry house supply place. There's probably one around Montgomery. I know for sure there's one in Luverne.

If you use cable clamps, don't put the saddle on the dead end.

Well, next time you stay at Bubbas Hotel and Lounge in Luverne, stop by Tri States (at least that's what it was called 20 years ago) and buy some good cable. If you take the come-a-long with you they might even crimp the hook back on for you while you're there.
