The Short Rope works Great with a climbing stand, just have enough slack in it. For a Loc-on I use the Short Rope as a lineman's belt until I get ready to step onto Loc-on, then I attach to the tree as Tree strap.
The Prussic knot is on both the Tree Strap Rope and the Life Line.
My opinion would be using the Tree Strap Rope with a climber and the Life Line with a loc-on or any climbing stick set-up (of course that would have to be done AFTER the initial setup of your steps or sticks).
The Tree Strap Rope is the Best option for use with ALL set-ups due to the versatility of using it as a lineman's belt too. The limberness, manueverability and lightness of the Tree Strap Rope is why I like it the best.
