Jeez, it's a high school football game!
Unless I see video of the kid swinging at the officer or at least aggressively resisting arrest (arrest for what?) then the officer was in the wrong.

Police have lost the ability to have a civil discussion with people. Not so long ago the LEO would have simply expanded why they weren't allowed to do something and what the penalty would be if they continued to violate the rule. There wasn't a need to bully someone and use pepper spray. LEOs tend to take things personally. If your ego is that fragile you have no business being one. If they were simply standing too close to a rail then this is an over reaction. The LEOs attitude was evident based on his comments to the students.

The point is that it is ridiculous to have this much police presence at a football game where the fans generally aren't mixed. I guarantee that most kids are not any worse than we were at football games. The police on the other hand have changed. I agree that there was a scuffle but it appeared to be initiated by the LEO...according to all I have seen about it.

I think the use of the pepper spray is the main issue. Evidently what ever started it they didn't have anything to arrest him on since he was released. I never remember police in the stands when we went to games. They generally were on foot walking the fences and keeping the two groups if fans from mixing.

whats with the masked face chitt???? He damn sure wasn't doing under cover work. Thinking that he is a bad a$$ in his own mind I guess. No need for the pepper spray in that situation and way overboard in his actions.

I think there is more to it than what the camera shows or the story reads.
We have no idea of what the conversation was between the student and cop. The story is misleading in my opinion, and tends to sway in the students's side. It was written he was away from the railing, which I did not see, nor could I see how close he was to the railing.
The story reads of the student's words to the policeman, which I'm sure there were several things left out which the boy did say, and several things probably left out which the boy was asked to do by the policeman.
I'd like the whole facts before I made a judgement, as I have learned not to make judgments in the past, thinking I had the whole story.
A little more facts added, which are missing to begin with, can change the whole outcome of a decision.
A ski mask on a policeman, isn't a good idea though.
Just my thoughts.
