I apologize. It sounded like you were giving up for good after only searching an hour. Too many people are getting like that nowadays. I stuck one with my bow that I know was a good shot. Had my dad in a tree about 60 yards from me and he saw the shot and never found her. Looked for her for a couple of days even checked back for buzzards. Its a terrible feelkng. That's the last time I ever bowhunted.

We will burn that bridge when we get there

You really are Aldeer's official Asshat. If you spent half as much time looking for a job as you do going off half cocked on people you'd probably be sitting pretty well right now. And to give up on bow hunting after losing one is just crazy. Practice and know your limits but things happen. Giving up is just ridiculous.

If you need any help let me know. I don't plan on doing anything but sleeping in and doing some studying tomorrow. Rains gonna hit us a little after daylight it appears.

If I was you Nacho id take him up on it. Another new set of eyes can be a big help.
Hats off to you yekrut for offering!

Those deer can be tricky. My boy shot a 6 pointer on youth weekend, in a food plot. He shot him dead center in the left shoulder but it was quartering a little towards us. The bullet didn't exit so the deer never bled a drop. He hit the ground, barrel rolled, jumped up and ran off. Never a drop of blood or hair found. Took 6-7 of us an hour to find him and he only ran about 15 yards out of the food plot before piling up in the thickest briars you ever seen.

Me and yekret have talked this morning. I will be busting front shoulders up from this point forward or neck shots. I hate this part of hunting and make it a point to find any deer that I shoot. I have only lost 2 other deer in the past 6 years one with a bow tracked her for over a mile and one buck with a rifle that we spent over 8 hours looking for. The buck I shot yesterday morning ran 45-50 yards or so with the bottom half of his heart in pieces they are tricky and tough for sure.

I lost one yesterday. Sometimes it happens no matter what you do to prevent it. I don't think anyone wants to loose a wounded animal. We just have to do our best and move on.

He is a big hearted fella aint he??

When you meet him youll see whar we meant about his head!

We dont mean he has a big ego..just an overly large, physically abnormal..well..head.

And if he has a stick with him...lookout. Just sayng....
