Wl weller is made by woodford,They use wheat to finish.Its 22.99-24.99 for a 1.75 its a very good bourbon for the price.

As some have stated, Blantons is good. Sometimes it's hard to find. I recently saw a post where the ABC stores were going to have s limited supply of Pappy and we're going to limit customer purchase. Never had it, but hear it's good. Colonel Taylor is some decent stuff. Four Roses is good. Woodford is good. If he's a Jack Daniels man, then Gentleman Jack or Single Barrel would suffice.

One thing you really need to know is what type whiskey he likes. I like bourbon. Don't like Irish or Canadian. Drink some scotch on occasion and don't really care for Tennessee whiskey. Most real whiskey drinkers like one type or another, but, not all.

Last week I polished off my first bottle of Blanton's, and it was mighty fine. As mentioned also, W.L. Weller is also good. Woodford is a fav. of mine also. Gentleman Jack is really good as well, and he would really like since you said he is a Jack drinker.

I wound up getting him a bottle of Blanton's. The ABC store in Lincoln has about everything listed in this thread. Thanks for all the great suggestions. I am going to bookmark this thread and use it for future reference as I will probably be changing it up every year.

I like early times. Its got a plastic bottle so when you get to drunk to stand it wont bust when you fall on it. Also when you hit your ol lady over the head with it it wont really hurt and get you sent to the pokey again. Its a safety feature.

Try Rebel Reserve or Bullet, both in rye. Very smooth! I have come to like rye whiskey a lot over the last two years. I have tried several different kinds and these are my two favorite, right now.

Get him some GOOD, super smooth, white moonshine. Not that crap made in Gatlinburg.
