I've got a Husqvarna 350 that I've had for several years that still runs strong but the fuel line is broken causing it to pour fuel out when held upright. On YouTube the small engine mechanics say this repair is "tricky," which tells me clearly that it's beyond my abilities. Those mechanics show the whole saw torn down to replace the fuel filter and line.

What do you reckon it would cost to have a Husky dealer fix this? I have other saws and don't really need this one, so I'm not sure if it's worth the cost.

As is . . . $60. But I would put some fuel in and make sure it will still crank and run before I tried to sell it to anyone. It still ran fine several months ago when I put it up (empty of fuel, of course). Also, you understand I am diagnosing the problem based on the most likely scenario. I've not torn it apart.

Fuel line should be simple. Your filter is in the tank. You just fish it out. Take off the air filter cover and you should see where it connects from the tank to the carb.

I'll kill you a deer and bring it to you next week for the saw laugh

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

My problem with Husqvqrna was I could find plenty of fuel line with the correct O.D and plenty with the correct I.D. but one with both you could only get from Husqvqrna and it was pricey.

I had a broken fuel line on my trusty old 1985 Stihl WoodBoss a few years ago, and the Stihl dealer here in Hamilton charged about $45 or $50 for a new line and fuel filter. I know the line and filter are $7 parts . . . tops.
