I have just a few questions. One where is the club located exactly, and is all of the property connected into one tract? Also what type of soil and land terrain or topography is it? Is it hilly with red dirt or gently sloping with a mixture of soils like sandy loamy, limestone with cedars and in the bottoms black prairie mix soils? I know I'm asking a lot but I have hunted all over central west Alabama. From Pickens, Greene, Sumter, Hale, Marengo, Perry, Dallas and Wilcox counties. I have hunted hills, open prairie black belt and river bottom hardwoods. I will be up front about what I like to hunt. I love to duck hunt, turkey hunt and hunt trophy deer. I haven't shot a buck in years unless it was a management deer because I'm only shoot in one that is going on the wall. I have a couple of deer in the 140's and one in upper 150's so it's going to take a while for that to happen as little as I hunt. I'm a husband and father of two young boys of 12 and 7 and I have a 500 acres farm in Geiger in Sumter county. I'm looking for another place to hunt when my place isn't producing. I have been looking for a Turkey lease or turkey rights but that is just about impossible. I was introduced to the woods when I was about 3 years old hunting with my father when I could go and the older I got the more I was able to go and it kept me as a young kid out of trouble. When some friends were running around town getting into things, I was at the hunting club around a few kids but mostly grown gentlemen. They taught me the important things about hunting and being a Southern Gentleman. Now I want to pass it on to others and give back. I was a longtime member of one of the best, oldest true hunting clubs in Alabama. It was 3500 acres on the Warrior River just a few miles from Greensboro. Millwood Hunting Club was a traditional old club just like Dollarhide in Greene County that was a few miles up River from Millwood. I grew up there and there was always a list a mile long of people that wanted in the Club. When I got out of High School in 88' I was the youngest man offered a membership and I jumped on it. I got out when my father and I bought our place in Geiger, but I still wish that I kept my membership going but the clubs dynamics had changed somewhat and was time for me to go. I would love to hear more about this place if possible, my cell is 205-242-5920 and I live in Tuscaloosa. Thank you very much.

I want to give you guys some information on this club. I looked at it yesterday and let me say it may be 1200 acres but it seems like 2000 acres. There are many places to hunt the 10 members (total) they are wanting to have and I will tell you there wont be 10 hunting this place at any given time as the core 5 members do not hunt much as I could tell by looking at the club. It's very remote but dont see why that would bother anyone other than cell reception is not very good. There are some great looking hardwood bottoms. Its pretty hilly but over all very huntable. All this place needs is some members to help put in the work to make this a great place to hunt. Mr McDonald is a very nice man and just wants a good group of guys to help take care of the place and help make it a good hunting club with a family like atmosphere. And if you like to turkey hunt this is your place as the place is loaded with big gobbler tracks but they do not sell turkey only memberships. Lots of access roads but you will probably need a 4 wheeler to access most of it. With the right amount of work this place can be a great place to hunt with minimal pressure. They don't have lots of rules just comon sense stuff. Give F50 a shout and check it out.
