Not necessarily a big area for corn production in Kansas. The flint hills have very little Ag and the background looks like hill country. Kansas always will be known around the world as the wheat state, but corn is definitely king this fall. Kansas' corn growers are projected to harvest 607.2 million bushels of corn from 4.7 million acres. The 4.7 million acres planted to corn is the highest planted acreage for corn in Kansas since 1936.

That's a huge body on that sucker. I'll be hunting Kansas next fall. Just hope I get a shot.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

If those are fighting scars on his rump and side, I wanna see what he was fighting !!! I killed a 14 point 2 years ago that field dressed at a check station, ( voluntary check station, collecting samples ) that weighed 243lbs. Biggest I have taken, and I thought he was thick !!

I saw one weighing in right at 300# taken in Marengo County between Thomaston and Linden around 1982. It was a 12 pointer. The size of the deer's body made the horns look small.
I came, I saw, so I killed them all......Vern

Missouri record is 369 lbs. Minnesota's is 402 lbs field dressed and the conservation department estimated it at 511 lbs live weight, I believe it was killed in 1926. I thought the buck my nephew killed last weekend was a toad. For being 261 lbs I could only drag it a few yards before I gave up ended up calling the house to see if my son was home and could come help me drag and load it in the truck. It would have not been a big deal if the boss hadn't came and took the tractor to the other farm for a few days. I really would have liked of gotten a pic of it hanging from the bucket of the tractor.

I was in Wisconsin last winter and saw a bunch of steers loose in a corn field. I realized it was does and a buck came walking out of the wood line that made them look little. It was a 300lb deer if there has ever been one.
