Seems like we keep going around in circles. Compound bows use to be just wheels without cams. Then you had double cams. Then the single cam. Now no cams.

I think all bows kill deer however, if I bought a Mathews it would be because of the quietness. My neighbors Mathews is a lot quieter than my PSE DNA. With that being said, I haven't had one duck the arrow yet because of the speed.

I've been a Mathews guy a long while now...Q2, LX, Switchback, XT, & Z7. Love the solo can...smooth as butter and really quiet. Two wheels ought to be even smoother. My fav is still the original Switchback. Its with me in the stand today.

I just shot the new no cam at Pat's Archery in Jasper. I'm a Hoyt guy but that bow has me thinking about a change. Smooth draw, very little build up, no hump, & nice valley

That's for the TRG target models and that's MSR price. $1099 MSR for the HTR.

The HTR is 32" axle to axle, has a 6 5/8" brace height and weighs right at 4.25#. I'm a Mathews fan, they have performed very well for me on the tournament ranges and in the woods. Those TRG target models are probably very accurate, but they have got to be the most butt ugly bows I have ever seen. The HTR has me interested, but it's going to be very hard for me to lay the ChillR down. That one of mine has been a deer killing machine so far.

Prolly take a beating from the Mathews fans for this but here goes: Man I think Mathews took a step back with this one, the two wheels is 40 year old technology. I thought that style went out with the High Country Sniper in 1990. Everybody that's shot this bow says no way they'd trade a Chill for it. RH

Pretty soon they will come full circle with a no cam/no wheel bow that is basically a longbow with speeds of 500 fps. That looks like an awesome bow. I would love to try one out.

I'm digging on this HTR...It might be my next bow. It isn't the sexiest looking bow I've ever seen, but I like the concept it's designed to deliver...simple, efficient and quiet. The only question is will they be able to improve this concept and get even more speed out of a No Cam bow??? 330 ibo is incredible for No Cam, but like everything these days buyers remorse is just an update away.

Disclaimer: I do not know what I'm talking about.
Now, am I wrong in thinking that the CAM is where you get your "let off"??? So wouldn't you be pulling and holding maximum weight the whole time?
