Is everyone going to bow hunt this season? I am planning on it, but tendinitis in my elbow and shoulder may limit what I can do. Don't know if I'll be out on the first weekend but I should get in a bunch of weekends after that.

I am if the weather gets right. Our bow season has been open since sep 20. Our muzzleloader season is next weekend and firearm season is the week after that. Small bucks are starting to harass the does pretty good. Gonna get good here in a week or 2.

I will hopefully have a few bow kills this year.

Good luck Turkey_neck. I've never been able to take a deer with my bow. Only been bow hunting for 4 years and took two shots. Missed a coyote three years ago and a nice fat doe last season when my peep sight blew up in mid draw.

I plan on doing a good bit of bow hunting. Been counting down the days to it.

Did a lot of work at the land this weekend, now it's time to sit back and wait.

I've had a 6 point on camera the last two years that was a pretty decent deer, well he's back this year and he's a real nice 8 point. Got a wide spread with a split left browtine. Just so happens he's walking in front of my bow stand...now if I can just catch him slipping by.

It was a perfect weekend to work outside. I wish I had gone to our place.

Well guys I'm in a tree again this afternoon. We just had a big rain pass thru and I'm hopin something will get up and move. Got an 80ac soybean field behind me and a thick marshy area in front. 7 different trails all come together in a pinch point rite in front of me. Small bucks have been harassing the does this last week. Won't be long till it get goin good here. I will check in later.

Ended up seeing a doe and a yearling. They got a pass this time but probably the oh pass they will get unless I see a buck behind them. If its not to hot and the wind is right I will be back at it this afternoon.

Let it eat marsh! Only a week away for me now. Looks like a cold front coming through Tuesday. Could be a beautiful day in the woods for the bow hunters

Unfortunately, I will not. I hope I'll be able to get out on the remaining weekends in October, though.

Was supposed to be going up today and hunting through the weekend but they're calling for 60-80% every day so it looks like I will have to try and get up there the end of next week

Ok guys I might be getting into the woods this afternoon in GA! Headed over to coach a baseball tourney at East Cobb, and I've got a buddy with 100 acre piece of old growth hardwoods in Kingston. Ive hunted there once but I'm pretty much going in blind. Gonna strap the climber to my back and walk until I find a hot white oak. I'll lftt if I can!

Oh heck ya!! Good luck and get us some points. I shut down the hunting here till it cools off some. I don't like 90 deg temps and like the skeeters even less.

Got some good news and some bad news for you guys. Talked to the guy that hunts a farm next to the farm I hunt. He showed me a pic of a buck that I believe is to be the same buck I saw 2 yrs ago. He was a stud of an 8 pt then. Well this deer in the pic is a LARGE main frame 10 with what looks like about 2 inch stickers on both G2s. He is the kind of deer that just don't exist around here and will make you lose sleep at night. I now know he is the only deer I am after. Pics were takin about 1/2 mile from my plot and stand. I will keep y'all updated. Rut should be wide open next week. Lots of does on my farm. Hopefully they will bring him to me.
