What happened to the vizla? Haha I found 1 pup here in AL and its $1100. They are incredible dogs but I can't see paying $1100 for any dog.

I lost my beloved 10 year old Bassett today. Long wait list with the breeder we've used in Pennsylvania.
Ethan, how long did yours live? Still have him to this day. Got gray all over his face but still gets around pretty decently

We got my son a Bassett for his first Christmas. She turns 12 this month. been such a great dog since day 1. My buddy bought one for his 8 yr old last Christmas, drove to NE Tennessee to give the breeder a deposit, breeder tried to refund his deposit and sell for a much higher price than they quoted my buddy. He got the dog for $750. They looked for two months before they found one.

I used to have a pair of then when I was little. Peanut butter & jelly were there names great dogs. Dad used to hate it but I'd beg him to take them with his beagles when we went rabbit hunting. Looking back I feel bad about old PB dragging his transmission thru the briars

Diego is our bassett hound. Having him around the farm is like a living Disney character. Makes us laugh often. Two things I don't like. First, he hikes his leg on just about everything, which is why he is banished to the backyard only. Second, he stinks no matter how often he gets bathed.
