I am here to apologize for what I did in the bass tournament on April 22 2014... I got caught up in something that was wrong, and I betrayed a lot of my friends... All of my friends.. these guys were my brothers and I cheated them... they were my best friends who would do anything for me... and I betrayed them...
I have done a lot of soul searching in the last few months... nothing has given me peace... I have prayed.. I have asked forgiveness. I have done everything but, tell the world that I was wrong... my court case is still pending, but I don't care anymore...
I wont you all to know that I AM TRULY Sorry for what I did... I am sorry that I betrayed my closest friends, and that I allowed greed and ego to let me betray my friends... this was not about money... I won 24 dollars in the tournament... this was about ego...
I just want you all to know that these kind of mistakes are major... I have lost so much over this stupid mistake... I never knew that I was breaking the law... but I did know that I was betraying my friends... what I did was not even against the rules of the tournament... but it was against friendship and brotherhood...
I am sorry... I am sorry... I pray that yall will forgive me.. and that I can make my wrongs right...
Rob Gillaspie 2565580009 You'd get a lot more "Forgiveness" from the people if you would just forget about that phrase. In the end, You'll get your forgiveness when people start feeling bad for you, But Most people will not forget about it. But to help your cause, Admit total guilt, not this "It was actually O.k Because it wasn't against the tourney rules" stuff This...and the didn't know it was against the law crap!
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

This doesn't have to ruin your's or your families life. Start over and take the opportunity to be the Father and friend that your family and friends would be proud of. Redemption is always possible with God and he can restore all that is lost if you lean on Him.

Good step in the right direction. Make sure you forgive yourself and put it behind you. Bass fishing is a big time ego thing for most and I can see where a feller could be tempted. Now pm any crappie info you got.

So you thought that catching bass before a tourney, putting them in a holding tank tied to a dock and then collecting them during the tourney to weigh in was okay?
C'mon man.
Forgiveness starts with the truth.
I've fished a lot of tourneys, but never one that only paid $24 to the winner.
When you pray, make a complete confession, not some clouded excuse. Because if anyone knows the whole story, you can bet that $24 that God does. ^This

Bill,
I was raised better than this... I knew better than this... I have lost so much over this... my wife and her family... this was so stupid.. such an ego thing...
I just pray that God can forgive me, and that my friends can...
Rob God can and will forgive you. You have to forgive yourself and let God take control of your life through prayer

Nothing else left to say..Thread shoulda been locked after this reply so that its the last thing you read everytime you click this thread. You KNEW 100% from the get go what you were doin was wrong and you got caught..The comments you made about you not knowing it was illegal and it wasnt in the rules is complete bullchit and you know it.If you want true forgiveness you gotta man up and tell the whole damn truth.Dont come here with excuses as to why you cheated..You was greedy as hell and got caught. If you wouldnt have got caught you woulda still been doin the same damn thing and you know it in your heart thats the truth.Im not perfect and wont pretend to be but if im gonna apologize for doin wrong for any reason im gonna apologize for the whole truth. With that said i aint fished a river in probably 20 years and have never fished a tournament and dont have alotta good to say about smartass bass fishermen that think they own the whole river when they got a tournament they're fishing..A little respect goes a long damn ways..No disrespect to the good ones but yall are a very small minority.

I have never fished against you so you don't owe me an apology. I do think it is a step in the right direction to ask for forgiveness and a stand up thing to do. Give your life to the Lord and you will experience true forgiveness.

That's a step in the right direction.
Just some friendly advice; I'd fire your lawyer with a quickness. You think this is his lawyer posting under his screen name?
