I am here to apologize for what I did in the bass tournament on April 22 2014... I got caught up in something that was wrong, and I betrayed a lot of my friends... All of my friends.. these guys were my brothers and I cheated them... they were my best friends who would do anything for me... and I betrayed them...

I have done a lot of soul searching in the last few months... nothing has given me peace... I have prayed.. I have asked forgiveness. I have done everything but, tell the world that I was wrong... my court case is still pending, but I don't care anymore...

I wont you all to know that I AM TRULY Sorry for what I did...
I am sorry that I betrayed my closest friends, and that I allowed greed and ego to let me betray my friends... this was not about money... I won 24 dollars in the tournament... this was about ego...

I just want you all to know that these kind of mistakes are major... I have lost so much over this stupid mistake... I never knew that I was breaking the law... but I did know that I was betraying my friends... what I did was not even against the rules of the tournament... but it was against friendship and brotherhood...

I am sorry... I am sorry... I pray that yall will forgive me.. and that I can make my wrongs right...

We'll if Jesus can forgive you, I can to. We all have done things we was ashamed of. Some are caught some aren't. You took the first step in the right direction, hopefully you will continue down that path. Good luck.

That's a step in the right direction.

Just some friendly advice; I'd fire your lawyer with a quickness. He has tried to try your case in social media and even taunted other tournament participants. He has manufactured even more bad blood than there already was.

Tru dat. I don't have a dog in the fight since I don't tournament fish, but I will say for sure that if I were you I would NEVER enter another tournament. Most people will forgive you, but most who do won't ever forget. That's not the way we are supposed to do things, but that's the way it is.

I betrayed my kids, and my wife... they have had to deal with more than you will ever know.. all over some stupid thing that I did... I am truly sorry for my mistakes in life.... I have made many... I hope that I can be a better man in the future...

these small things, aren't very small, I hope other people can learn from my mistakes..

Took a lot of guts to do this, and I respect that. It's a step in the right direction. thumbup
And we've all made A LOT of mistakes. Seems the ones over a deer, turkey, or fish are looked at as worse than others that really are worse.

Keep your head up and things will get better. Now would be a good time to put your faith in God if you are a believer. If you are not, it would be a great time to pursue a relationship with him. There are people who can help if you ask.

Bill,

I was raised better than this... I knew better than this... I have lost so much over this... my wife and her family... this was so stupid.. such an ego thing...

I just pray that God can forgive me, and that my friends can...

You'd get a lot more "Forgiveness" from the people if you would just forget about that phrase. In the end, You'll get your forgiveness when people start feeling bad for you, But Most people will not forget about it. But to help your cause, Admit total guilt, not this "It was actually O.k Because it wasn't against the tourney rules" stuff

The fool tells me his reasons; the wise man persuades me with my own.

These two right here. I know it is hard to find peace sometimes after something like this. Just remember, Jesus is willing and eager to forgive you and on top of that, He wants you to forgive yourself! To me that is great news! Doesn't mean it will make you feel better immediately and it doesn't mean there will not be consequences, but keep this in the front of your mind, focus on Him and eventually you will see a spiritual blessing out if it.

Don't know you.

But I have fished a whole bunch of tournaments and what you did was very wrong, but you know that. Having said that....

It took a lot of intestional fortitude to post your apology here. I respect you for that. Everyone has made mistakes. I have made a lot of mistakes. Like Daniel said, this is a very definitive step in the right direction.

Keep your head up. Things will get better.

I am admitting total guilt... I was totally wrong, and took advantage of my buddies who loved me and would have done anything for me... some of them have forgiven me.. some of them I have yet to be able to reach on the phone... I owe all of you lots... if you fished against me or not... I betrayed the whole sport.. I know that... I put some of my friends who are professional bass fisherman in a very bad spot... I am very sorry for this whole deal... I hate what I did and what it did to my friends and my family... my kids have had it very hard, my wife has too... I DID THIS.. I CHEATED...I am sorry.

Takes a mighty big man to come here and say what you have. I echo what Bill said about pursuing Christ. You know what you did was wrong, admitted it and asked for forgiveness. Seems to me you're back on the right track.
