I've hunted south Lamar since the 70's. I feel the best time to hunt is Dec 12th thru 1st week Jan. After that it seems they disappear. I have hunted Kingville and up in Vernon area also but mostly around Kennedy. I hunt right on the Lamar Co line and I would say this is spot on where I hunt.
If you're gonna be stupid you better be tough.

Who do yall use for a processor, CHOPS or HUNTERS GOLD, I like both. Hunters gold hands down. My grandma lives next door to chops he's good but I prefer hunters gold.

Peak breeding takes place in early-mid January. Bucks are on their feet in late December - early January. Ron Bettendorf for processing.
