What are some of the trends yall have noticed while hunting? A couple of mine if I see rabbits before daylight while headed hunting I dont see deer. 15 minutes after I hear a owl I see deer.

If I go all day and not see a deer at the lease, there will be one standing in my front yard when I get home.

If there's so many shots it sounds like a war going on all around me I never see deer, but when it's dead quiet and haven't heard a single shot I see deer or either kill one.

99% of the time a deer directly behind my tree that I can't see for an extended period of time is an armadillo that needs to be killed in the head.

The guys that constantly worry about "hunting the wind" look like a dog hunched over walking in circles because they can't decide where to hunt.

If I ever find a turtle shell while hunting, I can stand right there and kill a deer. Also, if a bird poops on my head while I'm in a tree, I will kill a deer within the hour. Seems odd I know but it has happened several times.

I tend to see the most deer in the afternoons, when it's clear, with a slight breeze. January, you see them everywhere. I hunt the food. If your on a good food source and they are moving, your gonna see deer.

If momma throws her leg across me after the alarm goes off I rarely see 4 legged whitetails.

If a flock of migratory robins lands in the field, I never see a deer. This seems to happen when the woods become eerily quiet. It never fails.

Several of the above particularly with the cattle. If they are up and feeding then I'm late to the trees, if they are laying down then I have time to knock around camp.
If i go squirrel hunting I won't see but maybe one or two spooky rats way up in the tree tops, even if I was bowhunting the same place yesterday and 20 of them were bouncing across the ground within 10 feet of me.
If I have to pee walking in or out, as soon as I get good stream going the biggest buck I've ever seen will walk right into the road at 50 yards and stare at me. Of course my rifle is leaned against a tree 5 feet away or slung over my back.
My rifle needs a heated trigger come December and January.
I've killed 90% of my deer after 9am, yet I'll forego my morning constitutional to be in my stand by 6 at the latest snd squirm miserably trying to hold it in only to come down at 9:30 and shoot one on the way to the truck.
