Will the havalon blades cut through a brisket when skinning a deer? Since they're replaceable, I wonder how strong they are?

I agree with Velvet Tines. Helle is an excellent knife. I know a guy around Fairhope named Joe Z. who makes them. Hols an edge really good. Just saying.

I came, I saw, so I killed them all......Vern

You mean he puts handles on them don't you? They aren't too hard to do. I'll be happy to talk anybody through the process that wants to try one. I'll even send you a piece of wood if you like.

Only knife you guys will ever need. My buddy Robbie Roberson designed it and sold the patent to SOG. Start at top and unzip. Great knife. Around 30 bucks. Sog Hunter

I think they are made in the USA and assembled in China.

I have 2 of skullworks knives and they're as good of a knife as any that I've ever used.

On the Havalon knives, they have several different codes for the replacement blades, are they all similar in quality?

Academy has them. I like the outdoor edge version better I think

The Outdoor Edge version has a sleeve for the blade to slide into and lock. You'll have to make sure blood, guts and stuff are out of that sleeve and doesn't dry in it or you may not be able to get the blade in or out.

Get the Havalon if you're going to get one like that.
