I actually have two varieties of jap persimmons. Not sure about the variety though (can't remember). I planted them about 7 years ago.

I believe a deer would walk past 1000 apple trees with fruit falling to eat one pear.
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

Damn. You could let the kids carve them to make persimmon-o-lanterns.

Hollywood, I got them at that nursery in Fayette by blacks before he shut down. These are acorn shaped and the others are kinda flat tomato shaped. Ill get some pics of them when they ripen.

I believe a deer would walk past 1000 apple trees with fruit falling to eat one pear. Good to know! I found 2 huge old mature pear trees on my land this summer both prob 60 ft tall and loaded up with pears. When do pears generally start falling off the tree? Mine either havent started falling yet or the deer are eating them up so fast I can't tell

I believe a deer would walk past 1000 apple trees with fruit falling to eat one pear. I was always told that the best apples turn into pears when they get ripe.

Totally depends on what variety of pear tree you have as to when they ripen.
