We purchased 3 DPMS AR10s for the business and I must admit I haven't been very impressed.

I am looking for recommendations for a very reliable AR10. We are hard on rifles and need one that will stand the test of being treated pretty rough.

I want a low profile flat top to mount the thermal on and that is about it. We don't put all that other stuff on there.

Barry,
You might want to try these folks Black Warrior Armory.

Seekins Precision, BCM and LWRC are great too but I don't think you are going to get a 7.62 from them. You'd have to check. I've run their 5.56 and they are nice.

Sig 716 is about same prices as what you bought. But SASS Armor Lite is a Great rifle for around 2500. I have shot them out to 1200 yards before.

SCAR 17S from FNH is the best IMO. There is no substitute.

Great rifles but antiquated optics attachment for the most part. Major draw back is weight. If you are used to the AR system then the controls are strange. Also weighs a ton. Been there done that. Slam firing can also be an issue. IN my experience with them anyways. You can butt stroke a big with one though. smile

Barry,
I got a new Armalite AR10 a month ago in 243 Win but have not had time to shoot it yet..its pretty solid with a 20 inch barrel.

What kind of issues are you having with the ones you bought?
