I'm trying to outline some property lines on some land on google earth. Is there an icon to use to mark lines, roads, food plots, ect? New at this. Thanks.

Yes, I did the same thing to my place a few years ago. I no longer have it on my computer so I don't know which icon it is.

Yes I think it's the little polygon item on the top tool bar. You can only do straight lines with it though. I think there is also a create a trail type button.

I have Google maps on my phone and if I turn it on it was showing property lines but how close and accurate, I can't guarantee. But if you walk along lines you know, it was very close.

Is this still the case? I used to have the property line feature, but it disappeared a few years ago on the iPhone.

Use the "Add Path" icon. It is three dots connected with lines.

Use Photoshop.
Put the sat image on top of the line map. increase the transparency of the sat image. Trace the lines. Delete the line map. Done.

Shoot me a PM with a google link to the location, and a short description of what you want and I will throw together a map for you.

I tried it last year because I was not sure where property lines were on property and it was showing lines then, so I assume it still does.

Click the "Add Path" button, a dialog comes up, give it a name. To the right of the name box is a yellow pushpin. Click it to change the icon. Then use the cursor to add the path around the boundaries. When done, click the dialog "Style,Color" tab and set the color and thickness of the boundary lines as you like.

You can even select which map output you want. Google satellite, bing satellite, etc. I use it alot.
