X 1000. The best thing that could happen is shutting the football forum down and daring someone to mention the word in any of the other forums. It a crying damn shame to see grown men act the way they do in there. The football forum is 10X better than the general forum 90% of the time. I'll take my chances someone calling me fat down there than to read some childish BS about flip flops, selfies, etc. In fact the football forum is the only that hasn't changed other than an over zealous moderator trying to make a name for himself.

I just walk up to women and say, "you know I'm a moderator on aldeer, right?" Bam! Their panties hit the floor. I can't even tell you what they do when they realize my name is in red on here.

Some of my better friends have came from here. While it has changed some for the most part all is well. I have had people help me when needed, maybe a prayer or just to chat.
Severl I don't talk to much anymore but believe they would come to my house and give me a hand if needed and I would do the same.
I appreciate the work and time the mods and owners put into it. Its been a great 11 years.

EHH you need to move your ass back to Seminole! Workin on it man. I want water front this go round. Let me clarify. Pond/lake water front, not river flood my house type of water front. Hell I would have to start pimping my self out to be able to afford river front.

Hangin around here sometimes makes me feel smarter. Even though I'm not that smart. Sometimes it makes me fell dumb. Meeting Hunterturf made me feel tall. But I've met him several times and he is about as goofy in person as his posts are. Respectfully of course. Meeting Daniel White made me feel small but he was legit to his character. He even invited me to come hunting with him. Met BrentM once and he's a lot more country than I thought he would be. No offense. Picked out bowhunter84 from across the room at the deer show just by seeing them ears. Met Boff and realized he was really as wise as his post make him out to be. Met a lot of others but only one was a little weird. Not really in a bad way, just different. I had people do me favors on here before . Can't remember his handle but he gave me half a box of 243 shells when I couldn't get my hands on any the day before a hunt with my son. BigAl is a solid guy too that hooked me up with some 22s for my kids rifles they got for Christmas presents. All in all I love this place. The good the bad and the ugly. I don't agree with everything I see but no need to get my panties in a wad about it. If you see something you don't like then just ignore it. It's really that simple. If this place changes, great. I'll probably still hang around here. Change isn't always bad. People have a way of being filtered out if they are not welcome. But nobody on here can argue that there are some really good guys on here. My 2 cents.

When this forum started straycat drank beer and still thought the earth was round. I missed that somehow. Funny and half true. When I first started on this forum in 2005 I had zero problems drinking like a fish and posting about anything and everything with very little hesitation or even remorse. Y'all remember my photos of the beach volleyball tournament hosted in Hoover? Good grief! VIVA Brazil! But the Lord began a work in my life that changed me from the inside out. Christ became Lord of life in a real way. I try to avoid certain type threads on Aldeer because it isn't something I feel I need to participate in. I try to bring something worthwhile when I post. I mess up on both often enough. I've been able to share the Gospel on this forum and have some deep discussions on matters of faith. I'm living proof that God can use a tarnished vessel for His glory. Another thing I love is the opportunity to laugh at some of the hilarious posts and funny stories. The level of wit and humor on here is outstanding! Plus I feel at home among many of you who are God fearing, gun toting, outdoor loving, Southern conservative Americans. Not to mention the giving spirit of many on here when a need arises. Aldeer is a great place and I'm proud to be associated with it in my small way. I still enjoy a very cold good amber beer from time to time. and I always knew the earth was pretty round.
