Starting a club on 200 acres in Cherokee Co. All bottom land with pines and some hard woods. Creek runs across the property. Have the deer hunting rights covered but have been approached about the turkey rights. Not sure what a fair price is for Turkey Rights; any ideas?

Somewhere between $1 and $800. Totally dependent on what type of turkey hunting is on it.

It is backed by a soybean field and another area by a cotton field. I think it could be a good area but I don't turkey hunt and don't plan too. I don't need anymore hobbies. Thanks

I think 1/4 of the total lease price is a pretty good estimate. So for an $8/acre tract charge $2. I'm no turkey expert though. Just ask the turkeys.

2 dollars per acres is a good price. turkey season is short, spring rain will take a couple of weekend hunts so unless you take vacation or are retired, not much time to work a gobbler!
