Mine is 16 and I still have three empty holes left over. My daughter lives with her mother. I'll just say her mother is WAY more lenient than I am. I think that's why she disrespects her mother and has only smarted off to me once. She received a pretty good pop to the mouth in front of her best friend and my nephew. I'm pretty sure it embarrassed her more than it hurt her. She didn't start dating til sixteen , I know how I was at that age. The only two boys she's ever brought to my house were very well behaved and seemed like decent kids. Both times I made sure to have a gun in my hand when I answered the door. Scares the chit outta them . Do your best and hope like hell they listen just a little.

Guys answering the door with a gun will back fire on you. Sort of. When I was 16 the girl I was d ateing told me about how her dad like to show his guns off to any guy that came over. Well I went prepaird. First time I met him I went to their house after I came out the woods when I went in their house he was sitting in his recliner cleaning his rifle. Had his chest poked out a little. When I came in I had my rifle in its case and my cleaning kit. I sat next him and broke my gun down and started cleaning it. He didn't really know how to react. But I did get his approval.

There's nothing and I do mean nothing you can do once those hormones start raging. You just pray you raised her right. My daughter is 19 but knows where I stand and so far so good. She dates some but realizes now is the time to get her education. The guys will be there afterwards. It will all work out for the best. On a side note any guy she does go out with had better be a Bama fan, that's one of her requirements....Go figure......

That's the difference between raising boys and girls. With a boy you just have to worry about their pecker. With a girl, you have to worry about all of the peckers out there.

Our 12 year old grand daughter has a very open relationship with her mother. You would be amazed at some of the things she says happens at school, sex/oral sex in the bathrooms and any other place you can imagine. Ya'll better stock up on the chastity belts when they are 10 is all I can say. You are fooling yourselves if you think just because they are staying home on Friday and Saturday nights that all is just as you want.

This is going to be a religious reply so be forewarned.....

My soon to be 15 year old daughter has a real relationship with Christ. I'm not saying that makes her immune to anything sexual but I will say that it will help her considerably when the time comes when she faces that decision.

When I was a kid I know there were plenty of church attending girls who were sexually active. There is a difference in going to church and having a real relationship with Jesus Christ.

I also take every opportunity that I have to tell her she looks pretty and to tell her how much I love her. That way when some little pencil necked peckerhead tells her that, she will have heard it from me before.

All of my three daughters are in their twenties. I've run a many of boys off. Some deserved it and maybe some others I was a little to rough on. My oldest daughter who appreciates what I did now was so worried that I wouldn't let her marry the boy she was dating ran off to Oregan to live and was married for months before she told me about it. We've since gotten over that and I hope they move back home soon so I can take my son in law hunting and whoop his ass but good.

Seriously y'all it's a tough situation to be in but just be careful how you handle things because you could also lose a daughter while trying to run off a boy.

Heck with digging holes, I know several really really really deep caves up in Madison and Jackson county mountains. The first punk boy that she brings to meet me (at age 21) I'm gonna carry him hunting and show him a few of those caves/holes. Gonna throw a $100 bill in one and tell him if he hurts my girl that's what I'm gonna pay someone to throw him in that hole. Either that or act like I'm gonna throw him in it the first time them tell him I'm just kidding then act like I was for real just to keep him guessing.
