I'll be with 6 other people down in Clayton tomorrow and we'll be needing some lunch. Will be going through Union Springs back to Bham.

The only place I know about is a fish camp type place. Abercromie or something like that.

Meat & Three/Homecooking or BBQ/Burgers kind of places preferred.

Suggestions?

I dont think Abercrombies will be open when its not hunting season.
Short of that the Food Giant has a plate lunch and Subway is your other choice.

What about Union Springs?

I used to keep a list but my old phone died and I lost the info.

Call the Country Club in Union Springs and see if they will take you tomorrow. Dang good food but they keep an odd weekday schedule. You may have to sit by the pool and eat.

Dime Store would probably be it... Don't think Abercrombies does lunch...

There's a dive in Union Springs across from the old armory that has a good cheese burger but I can't remember the name. Not a whole lot to choose from.

82 weat is a little nicer and has a lot more room and offers more than burgers.

I've only been once, but Dime Store was great. They do cafeteria style meat & three, or you can order off the menu. They have burgers on the menu, but not sure about BBQ.

not In Clayton, but Hagler's Bar-B-Q in Blue Springs is good, Jimmy's Bar-B-Q in Abbeville is good, and Sam's in blue Springs is good too.

Go to the dime store. I try to go at least once every weekend that I'm down there.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm refusing to do Cracker Barrel this time.

I forgot about the Dime Store. Union Springs will probably be your best bet.

Subway ain't bad if they have the oven already warm when you get there. smile if not you are looking at an hour to get a sub.

Whatever you do don't get a double order of corn nuggets from the corner store with a corn dog and some tater wedges unless you have an entire roll of tp handy and a few minutes to spare. smile

Don't listen to these clowns. Go to Ms. Eva's for the finest eating in Clayton. Meat and three style, home cooked with 'soul' flavor.

Do carry that nice 380 in your pocket though.

Ms Eva's better than Dime Store?
